The well spaced tents are private and secluded and each is raised on a base of natural stone and has a cooling thatched roof which also covers and shades the deck style wooden verandah.
Accommodation is simple, but luxurious, spacious, welcoming, secure and insect proof. Bedrooms are comfortable with twin or double beds with warm duvets against the dawn chill. Soft bedside lightning is atmospheric and there is a writing table. Modern ensuite bathrooms have hot and cold water, piping hot showers and flush toilets. Wake up to an early morning tea or coffee or enjoy refreshment at any time on your own private verandah.
Like an African watering hole, the bar is always open for revitalizing fresh fruit juice, cocktails or sundowners; the perfect place to relax.
Meals are served in the Airy Hilltop Dining Room offering a selection of tradition and international menus. A full breakfast choices satisfies the healthiest of appetite, often sharpened by an early morning walk or game drive. Lunch and the evening meal are selected from a menu which changes daily using only the freshest fruit, vegetable and herbs from the lodge’s own gardens.
To accompany meals, guest can select from a fine wine list, boasting a wide range of superior labels, then mingle and swap safari tales, or simply enjoy a romantic dinner overlooking into the starry African night with its mysterious sounds. |
