Location

The Lodge is located 22 km from Arusha Town along Moshi Road (30min from Kilimanjaro International Airport). Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a farm house dating from the early 1900’s, set in lush gardens, beside crystal clear spring waters at an altitude of 1,200 metres on the slope of Mount Meru. Two hundred species of birds have been recorded; colobus and Sykes monkeys roam and forest. The snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro forms a splendid backdrop. Arusha National Park is just next door.

Accommodation & Facilities

Eight garden suites of about 40 square meters each, Two special suites of 55 square meters in the Main House. Trout Fishing: There is a Lake (fish farm) which always stocked so that any angler can try his hand at Still water fishing. The lodge is well supplied with trout which forms a large part of the menu. Available are Walks in the vicinity of the lodge and day walks among the coffee and banana plantations; Horse riding among the tracks and forest of Mount Meru; Yoga classes beside the forest and lake; Romantic al fresco dining under a canopy of trees beside the lake.
