The Lodge is located about 10km to the East of Arusha, tucked away between the gently rolling hills of an old coffee plantation, against the backdrop of Mount Meru

Accommodation & Facilities

Public areas are relaxed and comfortable, being centred around a large colonial style verandah, with rooms being in self-contained bungalows set amongst the plantations. Dutch owners Gijs and Monica and their wonderful, friendly staff are there to take care of you. We highly recommend Moivaro as a base from which to go on safari or climb Kilimanjaro.
Inspired by the grace and romance of a fine ‘old-time’ coffee plantation, guests can anticipate accommodation of the highest standard with 21 private chalets featuring multi-level areas, huge balconies and beautiful fireplaces. Each chalet has its own coffee grinder and percolator in the spirit of a true coffee estate experience.
