The so called “Coca-cola” route is the most used route since it only requires 7 to 8 days to reach the Uhuru Peak. For these visitors who need to be accompanied with friends and fellow climbers this route is the best for you. Advantage in this route first; few stations, secondly the use of Huts where they sell soft drinks too. This route is most popular during the month of July to September and December to March.

Your day-to-day- breakdown of this trip

Your journey begins with your arrival in the vibrant town of Arusha. Upon reaching Arusha, settle into your chosen Hotel or Lodge, providing you with the comfort and rest you need before your Kilimanjaro adventure. We’ll arrange a convenient time for a pre-climb briefing and a thorough check of your climbing gear. If anything is amiss, fret not – Arusha’s shops are at your disposal for any last-minute equipment you might need.

Fuel up with a hearty breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha. We’ll then transport you to the Marangu-Kilimanjaro National Park gate, where the excitement of your ascent begins. As you pass through captivating tropical rainforests, you’ll eventually arrive at the Mandara Hut. Here, you’ll settle in for the night after a 5-6 hour walk, while enjoying the lush surroundings. (Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut: 2,700m; 5-6 hours walking)

Rise and shine to a delicious breakfast, and set out for a day of adventure. The trail leads you through a steep forest ascent, gradually opening up to breathtaking moorland vistas. On clear days, Kibo and Mawenzi peaks grace your sight. The day culminates at Horombo Hut, where you can unwind amidst the stunning scenery. (Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut: 3,720m; 4-6 hours walking)

Today, embark on a gradual climb towards the lunar-like Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. This 6-7 hour trek leads to Kibo Hut (4,700m), your comfortable night’s rest location. While here, prepare for your final ascent with relaxation and anticipation. Kibo Hut lacks running water, so make the most of your surroundings. (Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut: 4,700m; 4-6 hours walking)
